OK, so I made a good looking flower which is great... but can I make it work on some level with the technology in a week and a bit????
I though an easy way around my dilema would be to make an origami style flower that would open and shut.
The speed of the opening and shutting is dependent on the mechanism.
Earlier I said that this depends on the emotion I want trigger in the observer.
So because of my delicate disposition I was drawn to the gently opening and closing of the petals,
however this may be too complicated to replicate in light of the time I have to complete project.
Alternatively if I use a solenoid, the mechanism will open and shut, it will replicate the action I require, but quickly...like a surprise flower....da daaaaa!
To do this I will need to utilise a battery powered doorbell...(have to find one).
Then also build the frame the petals will sit on.
Alternatively there is the coral x-mas tree Pete created.
(can I nick it...I don't need to its open source)
This is kind of what I want my flower to do but in another way....
I think I have to make the ring I want the petals to be housed on first....then seek confirmation from my experts.
in the mean time , I will source a doorbell, and a metal ring of some sort...
a lampshade. (I've now reserved both doorbell and lampshade at argos, in Charlton. Good job Ive got a car.)
